No. 2 – Salty Licorice

The Lakrids by Bülow No. 2 Salty Licorice holds a special place as one of the original creations by Danish gourmet brand Lakrids by Bülow. It’s my top pick among their lineup, and while the strong, salty taste of licorice hasn’t typically found widespread appeal in the US, I decided it was essential to offer it in my shop. If you’re curious to sample something quintessentially Danish, this is an excellent choice. Be warned, though, the potent flavor from ammonium chloride may not suit everyone’s palate. However, once you develop a liking for it, it can become a lifelong craving. Perfect for adventurous candy lovers or as a thoughtful treat for a Scandinavian friend craving a taste of home.
